Students in India have to take multiple exams in order to get into engineering colleges, including the Joint Engineering Entrance Examination and the Maharashtra State Technical Education Test (MHT CET). I took the MHT CET to enter St. Francis Institute of Technology. A challenging curriculum is a hallmark of engineering education. Throughout the course, I received a huge amount of work, such as weekly assignments and attending lectures for approximately 4-5 hours. The experience was rewarding, however. Because I wanted to pursue engineering more than anything, I thoroughly enjoyed my time as an engineering student. Besides academics, engineering colleges offer a variety of opportunities for students to explore their interests.

The Institution’s Innovation Council at my college is a committee of which I am Co-Overall Coordinator. In my first year on this committee, I was a part of the publicity team. The experience gave me skills that have impacted my life greatly. Events, workshops, and so much more are all part of my job. A college experience would be incomplete without the bonds of friendship formed along the way. It has been the best experience of my life to form friendships at this college, and they are my lifelong friends. Being surrounded by peers who are striving to achieve great things makes me want to achieve my dreams and goals. Now that I'm in my third year of college, I'm eager to get to know all the exciting opportunities that await me. I am looking forward to the remaining years of college and all the amazing experiences and memories that will come with it.
